Our Story

The story of Rehmat’s covers three generations of rich family history. For over sixty years we have been providing flavourful dishes and outstanding hospitality to the public.

Our vision is to revive ancient Indian cuisine and share it with the world.

Executive Chef and owner, Sajida Iqbal, was raised in the province of Punjab, where she spent her afternoons cooking for the workers on her father’s farm. There she mastered the process of preparing traditional Punjabi food, exploring the distinctive flavours of the region, and using techniques that have been passed down for centuries. Throughout this time, Sajida began experimenting and adapting these classical methods to create and influence her own unique style of cooking.

Sajida then attended Lahore’s School of Culinary Arts (SCAFA) before packing her bags for bonny Scotland.
